Recent Updates

June 2024 - Final Design Approved

The design for the new skate park and pump track was finalised in collaboration with the Public Skate Park Working Group. This design represents the collective vision of the community and promises to be an incredible asset to Raunds.

The plans are currently under review by the planning department, and we eagerly await their decision.

April 2024 - Garage Sale

In April, the Town Council hosted a Garage Sale which proved to be a popular community event, providing an opportunity for residents to declutter whilst supporting the skate park project. Through map sales and entry fees, the Garage Sale raised an additional £271 towards the project. The Town Council would like to thank all residents that participated and helped make the event a success.

March 2024 - Crowdfunding Success!

Our crowdfunding campaign which was launched in January and ran for 10 weeks was a resounding success, our incredible community rallied behind the project raising an astonishing £10,001 with the support of 115 generous contributors.

Local businesses stepped up to support the campaign by offering fantastic incentives, thank you to Mughal Dynasty, Sounds Delicious, Montgomery Financial, Gells of Raunds Ltd, Camelot Creations, Explorer Travel Holidays, Focussed on You, Chris Long Services Ltd, Manor Sports & Leisure Ltd, and Raunds Fish Bar. Their generosity made a significant impact on bringing this project to life.

One of the popular incentives was to buy a pint of concrete, the names of the 50 people who purchased a total of 76 pints of concrete will be proudly displayed on a special piece of artwork at the skate park.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our sponsors:

North Northamptonshire Councillors Helen Howell, Richard Levell and Lee Wilkes (using their Member Empowerment Fund), Sport England, Stanwick Parish Council, Suresafe Electrical Services Ltd, Spar Blackmore Foundation, Turney Landscapes, JSB Brick & Stone Ltd, The Blue Fish Bar, and Krog & Whitehead Optometrists. Their support is invaluable to this project.

We'll continue to keep you updated on the project's progress. Stay tuned for more exciting news!
