Town Councillors
Council members are elected for a four-year term with the next scheduled election due in May 2019 in line with other tiers of local government.
Our current Town Councillors were elected in May 2015.
The Council consists of 12 elected Councillors.
The Town of Raunds comprises of two wards:
- Raunds Saxon Ward (essentially consisting of residences in the east and south of the town)
- Raunds Windmill Ward (essentially consisting of residences in the west and north of the town)
Each ward has six Town Councillors.
All Councillors are voluntary.
Councillors meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month for a full Council meeting and at various other committee meetings throughout the year.
Each year at the May full Council meeting, a Mayor and Deputy Mayor are elected.
All meetings are held in the Council Chamber at The Town Hall and commence at 19:30, unless otherwise advised, and are open to the public.
