Bug Hotels installed at Raunds Cemetery

As part of the Northamptonshire Churchyard Conservation Scheme, Raunds Town Council has teamed up with Raunds Playgroup to create amazing bug hotels!

These unique habitats have been installed around the Chapel, providing a safe haven for a variety of invertebrates.

Raunds Playgroup Manager Kate Perton said

"The children thoroughly enjoyed decorating the bug hotels and learnt lots of new things about the creatures that may live in them. They will be excited to visit them when they are in situ. The Playgroup is happy to support community projects where all the children can participate and learn at the same time."

This fantastic initiative not only enhances biodiversity within the cemetery but also provides valuable learning opportunities for the next generation.
